Megan M. Metzner

Megan M. Metzner is a film producer, comedy writer, retired nuclear submarine engineer, and the founder and CEO of Mmm… Good Pictures, based in Los Angeles, CA. Megan believes that positively influencing the social script through comedy and filmmaking has the power to shape society, and the heroes who pursue this noble goal deserve safe and efficient film sets without sacrificing budget, schedule, or quality.

As a former shipyard engineer and foreman, Megan easily internalizes the advice from her film school instructor to think of a film set as “a mobile construction site.” She served as Senator for Creative Industries at Colorado Film School (CFS) and used PGA COVID-19 Protocols and her engineering and safety expertise to engage in meaningful and productive conversations with school administration concerning the application of COVID-19 safety practices, making a positive impact on the set safety of all student film and theater productions.

Megan recently earned a Certificate in Independent Producing from the UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies Program, exceeding requirements for Distinction by maintaining an A+ (97%+) GPA while completing graduate-level coursework. She maintained a 4.0 GPA completing 31 (of 76) credits toward an AAS in Writing/Producing from Colorado Film School and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
